SuperGrans Western Bay of Plenty is now up and running in Katikati. Anne and Amanda are working in the community to help families and individuals strengthen their life skills. We want to see all our families flourishing.

We have Super Grans and Grandads who have knowledge to share and the heart to do it.

Do you need help with learning to:

  • Cook
  • Making clothes
  • Repairing clothes
  • Growing food
  • Homemade cleaning products
  • Homemade skin care products

We will be running regular workshops in the near future covering these topics. Let us know what else you would like to learn. Workshops are free to Community Service card holders.

What can you do?

  • We are looking for Super Grans to mentor in our community. Contact us for a chat; we would love to hear from you.
  • We are looking for keen knitters who would like to knit squares for blankets.

100 babies a year are born in Katikati: we are on a mission to provide Plunket with 100 blankets in our first year of operation. These blankets will go in to Plunket’s “Welcome Home Baby” packs.

Use 8 ply yarn and 4.5 mm (or size 7) needles, cast on 33 stitches and knit until square. Squares can be delivered to 6 Kea Street, Katikati or we can collect.

Mini Mums

Are you a Mum who needs to get to know other Mums and want to learn useful skills that will make your life better? If this sounds like you then give us a call on 549 4522, text 027 472 1112 or drop in to 6 Kea Street. We are here Monday to Thursday from 9 until 3. We look forward to seeing you.
