Wairarapa SuperGrans

Helping people to help themselves

SuperGrans is a free social support service available Wairarapa-wide to families/whānau and individuals who need some support.  Our SuperGrans volunteers are a diverse group: men and women of all ages from all walks of life. They are practical, community-minded people who enjoy sharing their life skills. Volunteers don’t have to be grans at all.

Our SuperGrans volunteers work with people in their homes to help with a range of life skills. These may include nutritious and low cost family cooking, growing food, shopping more economically, home routines, home repairs, living sustainably – whatever best suits the person we’re working alongside.

The SuperGrans office is based in Masterton, at the Wairarapa Community Centre, 41 Perry St, Masterton.  Glenda Seville is the coordinator. She manages the programme and matches clients’ needs to the skills of  our SuperGrans volunteers.
